PBIS Tiger Bucks

A PBS strategy used to motivate students and reward good behaviors (especially for students who have difficulty obtaining meeting regular expectations)

How do you earn Tiger Bucks?

  • Tiger Bucks should be given when a student demonstrates given GROWL expectations or evidences a positive behavior.
  • It is recommended that you encourage students to demonstrate a behavior for a given period. For example, if Student X, who rarely completes assignments, completes and submits their class work for 2/5 days during the week, then they will receive a Tiger Buck at the end of the week. If successful, next week Student X can be encouraged to submit 3/5 assignments to earn a Tiger Buck.
  • Tiger Bucks can also be given intermittently, i.e., catch a student performing a good deed and award them a Tiger Buck for doing so.
